SYNOPSIS
One of the world’s most popular characters is back on the big screen as a new chapter in the Spider-Man legacy is revealed in The Amazing Spider-Man™. Focusing on an untold story that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story, the new film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, with Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero. I will keep it simple, see some comic book fans think they are TRUE fans because of how big of a collection they have or the vast knowledge they have of the characters and story lines yet what really matters is the basic principles behind why these characters were created to begin with. They were created with inspiring powerful words like with great power must come great responsibility because we all have a choice in this world. Each and everyone of us has a peter parker spider-man within us and in reality we face everyday issues and its up to use to either use our great power for good deeds and be responsible or we can abuse our powers and be irresponsible in life. These characters were created by legendary icons like stan lee to be inspired by the good morals standards behind these characters and story line that we can all relate to especially someone like peter parker who like the majority of use are average ordinary people with everyday issues. I suffered through childhood leukemia when I was younger and all I had growing up was the spider-man comic books and the 70′s nicholas hammond tv shows. I always wished that a character would come dressed up and visit me at the hospital but that never happened so I got older and started visiting children’s hospital as the character to provide positive re-enforcement. I also do promo work for stan lee’s election daze at conventions as the character and I also had the honor and privilege to be in the third spider-man film, and the amazing spiderman as an actor and was also lucky enough to take a photo with the entire cast from both franchises. So if that does not make me a true spider-man fan than I dont know what is. – Spidey
